About Me

I was born in Brest, Belarus, grew up in sunny Santa Barbara, and now live in Clovis. My life revolves around church, my family and friends, and grad school. I strive to live my life in a way that pleases and glorifies God. I fail at that daily, but God forgives me because of his amazing grace.

My Interests

Traveling to new places or places that I've already been to, coffee shops with unique art, reading books, soaking in the sun, walking barefoot at the beach, nature and the great outdoors, looking at the sky on starry nights and singing, spending time with friends, campfires and roasting marshmallows, watching movies that make me laugh or cry or wonder about life, night swims, snow boarding, learning about the human body and how God has put it together, going to church to worship God and fellowship with other believers, sharing meals with family during the holidays, baking dessert and then eating it, meeting new people, hiking, watching the sunset or sunrise over the ocean, sitting on rooftops at night...

I'd like to meet:

Anyone who has a passion for life and a heart for God!

Music:

All kinds, but I can always listen to Jack Johnson.

Movies:

Drama, comedy, romance, foreign, thrillers... I like different types of movies so long as it's not a horror film because then I can't sleep.

Television:

I don't watch much TV, but I like cooking shows like Iron Chef, Dancing With the Stars, probably because I can't dance myself, and more recently, Samantha Who

Books:

The Bible, Mere Christianity, The Count of Monte Cristo, Cancer Ward, My Name is Asher Lev, Pride and Prejudice, Wuthering Heights...

Heroes:

Jesus, for saving me and accepting me the way I am, no matter how unworthy, and wanting a relationship with me. He is truly the greatest man that ever lived! My parents for all they have done and sacrificed throughout their lives to make Mark's and my lives better. I know I don't appreciate them or love them enough.

I think we all have ADHD/ADD

All weekend I've been trying to write a research paper on children with ADHD and as irony would have it, I can't focus on it long enough to write more than a few sentences. I'm usually a procrastinato...
