I've been writing professionally since 2003, and have been lucky enough to sell many short stories which have appeared in anthologies by Alyson Books, Cleis Press, Iris Press, Starbooks, Haworth to name a few.
Although I enjoy writing short stories, my great love is historical gay fiction, as I love the challenge of - not only attempting to get the historical details as right as possible - but to try and get inside the heads of men in a time when it was not only dangerous to love men but was likely to be life threatening too.
My first novel Standish (Gay Regency) was published in November 2006 and is being pretty nicely received.
My second novel, Transgressions (English Civil War), has been sold to Perseus books and will be published in Spring 2009.
I've published over 20 short stories and 2 novellas:
Chiaroscuro (Published in "Night Moves") - based in 19th century Florence about a talented artist who falls in love with his model
and
Hard & Fast which is an erotic Regency pastiche
Frost Fair, a homoerotic story of an impoverished printer and his struggles to make ends meet will be published by Linden Bay at the end of 2009.
