Marina Aggelou has become a house hold name in Greece and Europe over the last 15 months, capturing a fanatic fan base ranging in the hundreds of thousands.Marina Aggelou was born in Limassol, Cyprus. At an early age she moved to Australia, where she became known as the local entertainer performing at venues such as The Cyprus Community Club, Megas Alexandros etc. and many would know her from her debut Greek single “Na M’ Agapas Tora” the Giannis Katevas cover which had sold in excess of 12000+ copies a few years back making her the only Greek Australian artist to receive a gold Single status with a foreign song at the age of 16.Since 2001 Marina left Australia pursuing her career as Greek recording artist. She spent 1 year in Cyprus performing at the legendary Leoforos club.Marina then moved to further her goals to Athens, Greece, where she was offered a recording contract with Warner Music, but kindly she rejected the offer as she felt she was not ready to commit to any long term arrangement.By this stage Marina was performing in some major Venues such as Yialino Musico Theatro in Athens. She then decided to tour and perform all over Greece building a fan base, place such as Larisa, Trikala, Thesaloniki and Crete.Marina was then recalled to go back to Athens to share a stage with Angela Dimitriou, the famous Greek singer. This marked a turning point in her career. Marina gained a lot from that experience.Marina was then posted at Athen’s Caramela Club along side Panos Kallidis, Flora and 4Play.At the age of 23 Marian entered Dream Show, the Music airing daily in Greece on the Alpha Network with a 2 hour live performance show Friday evenings. This was Marina’s ultimate goal in propelling her to superstar status in Greece. Marina managed to impress the Greek public with her astonishing performances, gaining the 'real winner' title.With all this happening and the odd appearances on TV shows such as Eleni Menegaki’s morning shows etc, Marina is now ready to continue her dream with the respect of Greece’s finest producers and record company executives which have all shown a huge interest.In August 2006 she moved to Thessaloniki, Greece'e second largest City, where she appeared along with Ellie Kokinou and Vassilis Karras at the 'Boom' Club, registering another big success.It did not stop there, Marina Aggelou was posted for the winter at Athina's prestigious Apollon Music Hall where she performed along the likes of Ellie Kokkinou & Thanos Petrelis.
