About Me

A quick over view so you can understand what is occuring in Darfur.
A genocide is occuring in Darfur.
Darfur is a small region in Sudan, Africa.
gen·o·cide [jen-uh-sahyd]:
–noun the deliberate and systematic extermination of a national, racial, political, or cultural group.
Men, women, and children are being murdered by their own government paid militia. Since the beginning of the genocide, 450,000 people have died.
Not only murdered but:
-raped
-slaughtered
-displaced
-suffered from malnutrition

The militia, otherwise known as the Janjaweed, are killing animals as well and throwing them into any and all water supplise, along with, burning all food supplise and housing the people own -- consequently creating malnutrition for all, especially the hungry children.
Background: Nearly three years into the crisis, the western Sudanese region of Darfur is acknowledged to be a humanitarian and human rights tragedy of the first order. The humanitarian, security and political situation continue to deteriorate: atrocities continue, people are still dying in large numbers of malnutrition and disease, and a new famine is feared. According to reports by the World Food Program, the United Nations and the Coalition for International Justice, 3.5 million people are now hungry, 2.5 million have been displaced due to violence, and 450,000 people have died in Darfur thus far. The international community is failing to protect civilians or to influence the Sudanese government to do so.
