in general, i have many interests. one my favorites is to laugh. but who doesn't have an interest in laughing? i guess emo kids, but they don't really count. one of my favorite people to laugh with is the one and only christina jarboe. although, i do notice she laughs around me more than i laugh around me. what can i say? i spoil her ;)I have gone to war and now I can issue my complaint. I can sit on my porch and complain all day. And you must listen. Some of you will say to me: You signed the contract, you crying bitch, and you fought in a war because of your signature, no one held a gun to your head. This is true, but because I signed the contract and fulfilled my obligation to fight one of America’s wars, I am entitled to speak, to say, I belonged to a fucked situation. -Anthony Swofford
the politician that's going to get us out of this war. it's been going on too long and too many of our brothers and sisters are dying. families and relationships are suffering tremendously because of this war and it needs to come to an end soon.
is the best way to deal with anything. my favorite form of art by far. don't restrict yourself to commercial radio. but don't be a music snob either. just 'cause they're underground doesn't mean they rock, and just because you've heard of they're label doesn't make them good either. try out some jonah matranga, the roots, regina spektor, dropping daylight, say anything, tool, sublime, mos def, the white stripes, sage francis, yeah yeah yeahs, led zepplin, kaki king, rachel joy, matisyahu, pepper, redman, jay-z, the people under the stairs, and so many more. oodles more.
are great. they put us in situations that we wouldn't normally put ourselves in. expose us to lifestyles and ways of life we wouldn't usually be exposed to. they take us out of our comfort zone and force us back into it as well. remind us of what life is really supposed to be about. well, the right ones do anyways. some of my favorites are...little miss sunshine, crash, garden state, donnie darko, requiem for a dream, the boundock saints, spun, napolean dynamite, life of david gale, the village
i don't watch much. i usually end up falling in love with a show and then buying all the damn seasons on dvd. like grey's anatomy, scrubs, friends, south park, reno 911, the daily show, dead like me, and nip/tuck. alright i lied. i don't own all those damn dvds. but, um...do you? i really want to watch them all. don't worry yr invited, especially you jd.
expand our imagination. describe and present emotions in no other way possible. they make me happier than a lot of other things in my life, yet somehow i sacrifice my reading time with other distractions. isn't it stupid how humans work? when i do make time however, i enjoy plopping down in my recliner with a glass of wine and a good book by chuck palahniuk. stephen king is good too. i like dean koonz's frakenstein and intensity. and of course, a clockwork orange. right now i'm working on a million little peices and the zen of mtotrcycle maintenance(i think that's the name) is coming up next. i can hardly wait!
people with strong convictions. people who stand up for what they believe in no matter what. people who will voice their beliefs and opinions, even when it isn't popular. people who put the first ammendment to good use. don't be afraid of yr opinion or frightened to stick out yr neck for what is right...be a hero
