About Me

Welcome to The Pyromantics. We are a group of writers/ artists who create fiction that may be classed in particular categories such as horror/ sci-fi/ fantasy/ crime and similar - this includes prose fiction, short stories, poems, monologues, scripts or plays or any other form of language craft. We are experienced writers with many influences from the legendary authors Stephen King, Neil Gaiman, and Clive Barker, to musicians and bands from genres like metal, emo, rock, thrash, death and progressive. We have open minds and the idea behind this group is to share creativity. In order to do that we need contributors, so contact us at our myspace url : www.myspace.com/thepyromantics or email us at [email protected]
MAY THE 4TH BE WITH YOU...Greetings to all Pyromantics and future- Pyromantics! We have been busy here writing for our Masters degrees so that we can have jobs that don't involve the phrase 'Would you like that in a bag?' so far, no luck, however the writing of the macabre and bloody keeps us sane. I think. We hope all Pyromantics are well and have been busy scribbling! Please do send us anything you'd like us to blog and we will endevour to put it up and let everyone know. In the meantime, we would like to recommend the following: '30 Days Of Night' and 'Mr Brooks' which are the kind of films we watch here at The Pyromantics HQ when we are not watching Bargain Hunt.
Cheers guys, ROCK ON

SITE NEWSWe were thinking of using the space to the left here where we previously had the Heart Shaped Box competition stuff, to put up images and news about new horror coming out, or sci-fi etc. If you guys have any ideas about what you'd like to see there, or you have something you yourself would like to put up, a new book, or e-zine etc then let us know, we need visuals so if you have an image to go with it then that's even better!
