About Me

Born In New York City, under the sign Capricorn.
In the late 1960s I moved to L.A. where I opened the recording studio Crystal Sound Studios with Andrew Berliner. We recorded, among others, projects for James Taylor, WAR, and Carole King.
From 1974 thru 1981, I was the recording engineer and synthesizer programmer for Stevie Wonder.
From 1981 thru 1983, I freelanced as an engineer and producer. From 1983 thru From 1974 thru 1981, I lived in New Orleans where I worked for Pete Fountain at the Worlds Fair, and commuted back and forth to Los Angeles for studio engineering work.
From 1987 thru 1989, I moved to Carmel, California and continued to commute to L.A., and San Francisco to engineer special projects during this time.
In 1990 I moved back to Los Angeles to go back to work for Stevie Wonder until 1992. In 1991 while working for Stevie Wonder, I produced and engineered "The Freewheelers" for Gary Gersh at Geffen Records.
In 1993 I moved to New Orleans to pursue my dream of helping create a viable music production company.
In 1996 I worked for Stevie Wonder doing all the live recording and mixing for the documentary "Songs in the Key of Life" which was first shown on VH-1 in April 1997.
In January 1998, I opened a Sonic Solutions Digital Audio Workstation mastering and editing suite.
My wife Lyn and I have lived in New Orleans for thirteen years now; I have served on the boards of Habitat for Humanity and NOCCA while I produce, engineer and master records from all over the world here in my studio on Piety Street My projects have included the Grammy-nominated album "songs from a little blue house", by Cuban guitarist/composer Juan-Carlos Formell for BMG, and one with our very favorite jazz players from Astral Project for Compass Records.
