Rare are the musicians who, by the ages of 14 and 15, had written more than 100 songs in their high school notebooks, attracted a loyal following, and were comfortable enough in their performances to continue accepting new gigs.Beautiful vocals, the draw of their precise harmony combined with rhythm beating guitar, blues like harmonica, and melodic violin capture the musical style of the duet that is capable, beyond a doubt, of reaching listeners of all ages. Like the girls, most of us don’t realize what it takes to put that quality of original music out, however you can feel the heart of every song by this up and coming duet. The path of growth for this duet has led them through a gauntlet of musical challenges that has made their music an even greater success. In a Wisconsin statewide competition against 200 acts they took the title, “Entertainer of the Year for 2001,†through a non-profit abstinence organization they performed for over 15,000 youth across the state of Wisconsin. Raising $500.00 through bake sales they made a trip to New York City and played for the crew of, “The David Letterman show,†after two writers and the casting director spotted them on the street playing for tips.
Now 19 and 20 they aspire to be heard in Nashville, TN. The music business in Nashville is a hard wall to break into, but the girls have received great responses from local establishments offering to book them. The girls are hoping they get picked up somewhere along the way by a record label or manager so they can keep doing what they’re doing. Beyond a doubt things are going to happen for this young duet.
