Robot Versus Monster

About Me

Formed for a one-time Halloween Show in 2006, Robot vs. Monster was a gag for our buddies that grew up like ourselves, listening to Blaster the Rocketman. "One day," Na-tron said "We'll start a Blaster the Rocketman tribute band and call our selves Robot vs. Monster." That was 1999 and here we are today. We played terribly that night. I'll never forget the confusion and head-tilting in the audience that night. But we grew upon the people like a tentacle monster. Opening for the Canadian Subhumans shortly after, then a really awful battle of the bands we performed at under the name Kentucky Train-wreck, we gained steam, learning more and more Blaster songs to add to our collection. Even eventually writing a few of our own songs for the EP The Dead, Undead and Recently Deceased. There were drunken blood lettings, a few stained shirts, and a lot of fuzzy memories before we packed it in in march of 2008. Returning with a vengence in the summer of '09 for reasons unknown, other than someone asking us to play a show we venture forth! Playing the music we love by the band we love for the people we love, Everybody wins. With our trusty engineer Bobby the Butcher by our side we venture on to record our full length tribute to Blaster the Rocketman, Secular Space Treats for livid Lycanthropes. Stay tuned, tiny humans.-Neilbot
