Jin (and the Phonics)

About Me

This band so far only has one member and that’s me, Jin, but I hope someday there’ll be some phonics in the band too. I play the guitar, the violin and can mess with some other instruments a little bit. I sing, but I also like instrumental music. I guess the songs I put up here sound pretty folky, but I’m also interested in rock, jazz, blues, and want to incorporate electronic elements in my music. Another interest of mine is cinematic music scores. I made the music and audio effects for my short films After and The Uncanny, and am interested in doing more in this area. Collaboration is welcome.

Eddies Attic on July 14

So I've been writing new songs, but haven't had time to record. I'll sing at Eddie's Attic in Decatur on Mon, July 14. It's one of their open mic nights for local artists, and one has to list 2 months...

The Uncanny theme

Just put up a track. It’s the soundtrack for my short film The Uncanny. Believe or not, I recorded it on a camera in my apartment -- just a couple of hours before the film was screened at the Ey...

what’s up?

Nothing. Nothing's up. I need to start recording again. Life seems to have been taken by so many mundane trivialities that before I knew it, years have passed by without a trace. I'm drained of my cre...
