Hey all. I've joined some friends and fellow Leisure Book authors in a new new blog called The Chatelaines . We all write historical (or historicalish, in the case of Yours Truly - hey, the Fading Lands is pre-industrial!) romance.

The Making of a Romance Novel Cover.

One of my fellow Dorchester authors, Marianne Mancusi , is a tv producer for her day job, working on a show called Better TV . Recently she and Better TV partnered with Dorchester Publishing to do a story on how a romance novel cover is created - from concept to final product. The piece aired and is now up on their website if any of you would like to take a look! They featured the cover of QUEEN OF SONG AND SOULS, my fourth Tairen Soul book (due out 2/24/09).

LORD OF THE FADING LANDS, LADY OF LIGHT AND SHADOWS and KING OF SWORD AND SKY are all now available!

You should be able to find them in bookstores and anywhere else mass market paperback books are sold. If you don't see LORD, LADY, or KING on the shelves, please ask the store personnel. Sometimes (particularly in some of the larger bookstores) the books may be located in several different places in the store, and your local bookstore can always order more copies from their distributor if they've already sold out.

Lady of Light and Shadows WON the Gayle Wilson Award of Excellence, paranormal category. Woo hoo! Happy Dancing!

Even more exciting, two of my chaptermates from Tampa Area Romance Authors (TARA) and SpacecoasT Authors of Romance (STAR) also won. From TARA, Karen Rose won the romantic suspense category with her fabulous book DIE FOR ME. From STAR, Catherine Kean won in the historical romance with her Medallion Press novel, MY LADY'S TREASURE.
