About Me

I edited my profile with Thomas' Myspace Editor V4.4We are Death of Perception. Formed in 2004 from the ashes of other projects, we have carved a sound reminiscent of old school thrash and power metal combined with the newer flavors of prog metal, metalcore and extreme metal (damn I hate labels, but oh well). We have 10 original songs, four new songs being written, and a few straggler cover tunes in our arsenal with new material constantly being explored. We have a large range of influences including some staples such as old school Metallica, Megadeth, Slayer, Anthrax, Dream Theater and some newer more recent influences like BLS, Lamb of God, Children of Bodom, Trivium, KSE and many, many, many others (too many to list!). We try to acheive thematic moods and technical sweet spots in our songs while still maintaining...THE METAL! Our songs go through many stages including constant home recording and listening, to ensure that everything sounds good to our collective ears and hopefully yours!!!
