About Me

Myspace Layouts - Myspace Editor

It was in 1999 that Spike, real name Kris Vermeiren, discovered the art of Dj-ing. First it was more collecting hardcore records, from Dj’s like Promo, Neophyte, ... But than at one day, a friend invited him to try his set of decks for mixing his records. From then on, he’d never stopped buying records. After a few months he sold most of his hardcore records to buy hardtrance records. He played 1 year trance, and then, he realised that trance has no “challenge” in mixing. After searching the net, looking for dj sets from other dj’s, he stumbled on a set from Jeff Mills. The power, variaty and sphere Techno brings, made Spike inmidiatly in love with Techno music. Through the years, he now has developed a sound, going from Minimal, Techhouse, Techno till Hardtechno. His choise of music goes to dj’s like Adam Beyer, Chris Liebing, Ben Sims, Umek, Steve Rachmad, Regis, Boris S, Sven Wittekind, The Afternoon Coffee Boys, The Advent, Alex Smoke, Anja Schneider, Amok, Ec....He played at local venues like: Londonbeat Café, Den Block, Jh Zoezel, Protect The Bass, Club Govio, Ministry Of Noise, Fish&Chips, Birth-Tech, Tech’n’Bass, Dj Contest @ Zillion (7th out of more then 50 contestants), Dj Constest FIK (3th place out of 10 contestants) and he has a residency at the Drumclub party’s. Sometime’s at this party’s he’s doing a versus Battle on 4 decks with his friend Yoshi Tsuko. His plans for the future, he will try to mix on a 3th deck, and in a more distant future he will try to make his own music!
