About Me

Eduardo Castillo aka Edú is the musical creator of the Psy-trance project 3DU (3-Dimensional Universe). Born in Mexico, Edú has been driven by music his whole life, expressing his talents at the age of 8 with the piano, later in his teens attending Classical Music School and playing drums in Punk, Rock and Funk bands around Mexico. After that, influenced by artists such as The Prodigy and Underworld he learned guitar, bass and started experimenting with a Yamaha AN1X synth and a simple Korg Drum Machine. He was introduced to the world of psy-trance in 2002 thru Tierra Magica Fest in Puebla and the infamous Psy-trance collective of Kuxan based in Leon, Mexico where he soon began Djing Psy-trance. Since then he has been collecting and playing Trance music. Eventually, he was led to New York where he studied Audio Engineering at SAE Institute and began his career in Audio Production. While in New York, he played in various clubs like EXIT, Cielo, Spirit, among others by the name of Eduardo. He has also played for some Psy-trance Collectives in NY like Tsunami, Alladin Project, Dreamcatcher and TDC. He has shared the stage with some famous artists such as Eskimo, Rinkadink, Etnica, Penta, CPU, Mekkanikka, Aquatica, Barak, Lamat, Cosmosis, Prometheus, Phanatic, Sharigrama and Bamboo Forest. After being a Dj for some years he started making his own music at the beginning of 2006. In addition to being an Audio Engineer/Producer/Dj he is a sound designer and is now working doing audio post-production for films in Vancouver.
