SKL - skl trlzn aka Eskild Trulsen. Known from other projects like; Stereoskill, Havana Acid Club, Anstalt, Remembering April, Sculpturized, Gamma-Myopia, Sapht Tsunami.
My cat is a huge influence, sick, but true! Got my musical composing interest from my granduncles organ, about 27 years ago, but didn't buy my first synth before 1984. At that time I was haveing a dream about creating synth music with my buddy Jürgen Aase, a classmate from school. We did a couple of project, very inspirated by early Front 242, Depeche Mode, The human Leagye (stuff before '82), Kraftwerk and the growing Acid House scene around the world. Even listening to some italian disco vinyl :)
Anyway, we ended up forming a band called Anstalt (Anstalt Propaganda) in the very late 80's, and had some releases on various compilations (about 20-25 i recall), before releasing a LP/CD in 95 (Kind of "best of.."). But in 93 we formed Beta Frequency (later called Beta Phreakuency - [BPH] ). Had some "house" releases on compilations and cd singles (also under the name "Sinus". Throughout the mid-90's we did lots of huge house-events/gigs, performing at everything from underground clubs to huge arenas. On stage we where up to 20 people performing. In 2000 we had our last gig as Beta Phreakuency, at "BY:larm" in Kristiansand, south in Norway.
This is when my good friend and coleague Lars Tveikra and I formed Stereoskill, wich is still going strong.
SKL is my personal project, for all my tracks that don't really fit within the "stereoskill - umbrella". I have no boudrys when it comes to genre, but prefere the things that sound "electro-like". This is where I relax with my own thoughts/chords/samples/programming, and make what I like, there and then! Hopefully someone else also like what comes out of my distorted brain.
