THERE BE NO SHELTER HERE!

About Me

Hi. I'm Rebekah. I was born in the Bronx, New York. I have lived in four states. I am very silly. Soundgarden and Rage Against the Machine are my two favorite bands. When there's a song I like, I can't help but to play it over and over again. In turn, I've gotten tired of hearing many awesome songs...but I can't help it, 'cause I still do it.
I enjoy writing and reading poetry. I make jewelry. I am unique and original. I love puppies. I'm honestly, more than likely one of the sweetest people you'll ever meet...but yet I always get shit on by people that said they cared. I HATE liars. I am a great example of how looks can be deceiving. Most people would have no clue how my life has been, and how it really is. I have an amazing friend that I can't help but mention a lot, because he has yet to let me down. And I love him for that...You mean sssssssso much to me! You know who you are!!!
I normally say whatever pops into my head, like what I'm about to tell you...I think the little girl that says "Mister, will you play with us", in The Hills Have Eyes, is so adorable!!! So far, only one other person agreed with me. I also like one of the cavemen from those Geico commercials. The one that was with the therapist. Hahahaha....I think he's cute, and totally do-able. HAHAHAHAAHA! Just kidding about the last part.
I have a few tattoos myself...but I LOVE guys with tattoos! Reminds me, thinking back on me and my girlfriends talking about hot guys with tattoos. Rock stars and actors...lovely memories. 7th, 8th and 9th grade days! (For those that knew me back then, GUYS...I STILL HAVE A CRUSH ON CHRIS CORNELL AND STEPHEN RICHARDS)!! Hahahaha! WOW!
Basically, I am what I am. If you like that, then awesome! If not, deal with it, tell me about it...whatever you want to do. Oh well, I haven't changed yet!

Heroes:

More like who I highly respect and admire:
I respect and admire The Dying Messiah. He has ALWAYS been there for me. He is an amazing friend, and person in general. He is a survivor of HLHS, and he doesn't let his condition stop him. He keeps a smile on my face, whether or not he's in a smiling mood. Thank you Scratch!
People that stand up for what they believe, freedom fighters, The Black Panther Party, EZLN
children who suffer and stay strong
child advocates in general, CASA...to be more specific
music artists who relay a positive message, and the ones that stay true to themselves...they don't just go along with what's hot.
Jonathan Davis for being the one that wrote the lyrics that matched my feelings. I admire him for going through so much, and giving his all to his fans. I thank him for being there without actually being there. His music has helped me through some tough days.
Chris Cornell, for making amazing music that has gotten me through hard days. For bringing me together with my first boyfriend, my first love...so many memories shared between Michael and me. Memories I don't care to forget. Such beautiful lyrics, such a beautiful voice, such a beautiful person.
Zack de la Rocha, for expanding my vocabulary and my knowledge with his lyrics. For opening my eyes to so many things. For being Zack. He is just one of a kind. So he is highly respected and admired by me.
Besides music artists....I guess music itself COULD be considered a hero...because it has come to my rescue so many times!
