As a non-profit store, we strive to offer you the best prices to make your building project affordable. Our goal is to reduce the amount of construction waste, project surplus items, and usable items that end up in the landfill or disposed of improperly. We seek to educate consumers about reuse alternatives and provide a convenient, central location for a wide range of reusable and green building items. All proceeds after expenses are returned to the community by financial support of non-profit groups who: work to create or maintain affordable housing, promote green building practices, assist in new first time home ownership, and/or contribute to construction waste reduction.
In 2005 we contributed financially to Brattleboro Area Affordable Housing, Brattleboro Habitat for Humanity, the Brattleboro Area Land Trust, and the Monadnock and Keene State College chapters of Habitat for Humanity. We have also donated in-kind to a high school in the Northeast Kingdom, Brattleboro Area Hospice, and New England Youth Theater.
ReNew sources much of its lumber from homes or outbuildings slated for renovation or demolition. Our crew can give you an estimate on the cost of systematically dismantling your building or removing selected items before demolition or remodeling. We may elect to do a one-day strip of easy-to-remove items at no charge prior to your scheduled demolition date.
ReNew is a project of the Central Connecticut River Valley Institute, Inc. More information on CCRVI can be found at http://www.ccrvi.org
