James Brown Is Annie

About Me

We met in a piano bar, rehearse next to a sex shop, and take our name from an Eddie Murphy Saturday Night Live sketch. We don't use bass (it would only get in the way), but sometimes we use saxohpone, electric fiddle, and an Elvis translator when necessary. Our average age is 31.3, and out-with music, we write for newspapers, own nightclubs, and live on the edge of cliffs. To the best of our knowledge, everyone in the band is hetrosexual. Oh, and don't forget to be good to your mother, and be sure to brush your teeth three times a day.
People we have been fortunate enough to share a stage with: Little Feat, Jon Spencer Blues Explosion; Acoustic Ladyland; Roddy Frame; Mark Eitzel (named Greatest Living Songwriter in Spin and Rolling Stone magazine); Stephen Fretwell, Shooter Jennings, Magne Furuholmen, Hayseed Dixie, Anne McCue, etc.
