Heidi Sings

Hi, I'm Heidi and this is my music page. I've been singing for as far back as I can remember, but I was 7 or 8, when I first heard Shirley Jones sing "People will say we're in love" in "The Music Man" and I began to imitate them. I was barely in 3rd grade and was shy, but would sit in a closet at home and belt out her songs for hours, thinking no one could hear me. But I grew up with 9 siblings and a busy household, so my parents "discovered" my talent eventually. They said they thought "a record was playing". I just loved her voice and I tried to imitate her and other musical theater singers of those days, including Barbara Streisand, and the leads in "West Side Story", "My Fair Lady", ALL female Disney characters and others. I started singing along to commercials when I was 5 my dad tells me, then was in all of my highschool musicals which by then, everyone told me I sounded 25. I was always so little and un-developed for my age, but dreamed of singing the lead love songs on the Broadway/New York stage! My mom has a pretty voice and sang a few national toothpaste and milk commercials when I was 3, but she says I have a stronger voice then her, and I'm "fearless" and "resilient" because I'll sing for anyone, anywhere!. She met my dad at age 25 and had 10 kids, which I used to fear would happen to me because I LOVE kids too. But I now know, for me, music and career definitely comes FIRST and I will continue to pursue and involve myself in it till I die~ Feel free to send me a friend request!
