About Me

My name is Mike. I am 55 years old and live and work in Tempe, Arizona. I am an only child, with two sisters, born in the humid southern summer of 1951 during the worse Polio outbreak in our nations history. My lifelong career is in research Science and Education at the University level. I was born with a curiosity and vocational interest in Microbiology, Virology and metabolic basis of human disease. Currently, I am a member of a support group involved in bioterror detection, the development of vaccine plants, HIV research and pandemic spread of the influenza H5N1 virus. I have three son's, Matt, Kelly, Michael and four daughters; Sarah, Andrea, Florinda and Monica, who I love dearly. Famous people to grace my family heritage are Gen.Omar Bradley and Capt. James Lawrence, remembered for his last words, "never give up the ship".I am happy. My family is happy. Life is good. Layout made by

My Interests

Mountain biking,playing my Ibanez semi-archtop guitar. Photography is second to biking.

I'd like to meet:

I posthumously add Martin Luther King. However, I know and have worked with famous men and women of Science. To name a few: Arthur Kornberg Roger Kornberg Linus Pauling Paul Berg Abe White Joshua Lederberg James Watson Frances Crick All are Nobel Laureates who dedicated their life to the elucidation of mechanisms responsibe for human suffering, sickness and disease on a global scale.

Music:

Jazz, Mo-town, Stealy Dan and most all female vocalists. Yet country and rock are equally enjoyed.

Movies:

Outbreak, Andromeda Strain, Time Machine, AI, Lost in Space, Red Planet, MI1,2 ( not 3).... Basically,anything about the future or space travel or SciFi. I am a fan of Tom Cruise, Matt Damon and James Bond.Not into horror flicks.
