Ardath

If I can't dance...

About Me

Ardath is a spoken word artist and page poet. She has decided to come up with one of those clever 'ironic' bios that serve to communicate that she doesn't take herself seriously but all she can come up with is: "Ardath loves her rubber boots and bought herself a pony when it was an inappropriate moment in her life to do so"In other news; Ardath is now speaking in first person. I am a member of the Word Iz Bond Spoken Word Artist's Collective, and have performed with beatboxers, musicians, contortionists and kids. I have been a four-time member of the Hali Slam Team representing at Nationals. We are presently ranked first in Canada. I won the the 2006 Halifax CBC Poetry Face-off and was the subsequent 2007 Regional Champion. You can buy my work on-line at cbc.ca or find it on CFSW Volume 1, 2006. Keep your eyes peeled for The Playroom! an inter-arts collaborative explosion with Choreographer Lisa Phinney and dancer Sarah Rozee. You can purchase my work in print (if you're one of the four people who still buy poetry books in Canada) in Mic Check: An Anthology of Spoken Word in Canada. (Quattro Press, 2007)I edited my profile with Thomas' Myspace Editor V4.4
