Some random person's hero who I was intrigued by:
My dad hands down. The man raised himself since he was 14 years old, grew up with nothing, being told that he would never amount to anything, proving them wrong, joined the army, went to college, got his law degree, provided a very nice life for our family, never got a thing for himself along the way...just did not ever want any of his kids to have to do without as he did. I lost my dad 7 years ago and a day does not go by in which I don't think about how much I would love to be like him. Material things meant nothing to him. He lived his life to help other people, never asking for anything in return but the love of his family. He remains my hero.
