Right now, I’m in the creative process of making my solo debut album come to life. Writing, producing, recording, arranging... Vocally, I’ve developed a style which is some kind of a rap/song-fusion - and it's continuously evolving. I’m very influenced by various types of music which is why my sound is a mix of Funk, R&B and Soul, Hip hop, Electronica and Rock’n’Roll. I like to experiment with genres and that’s also one of the reasons why I enjoy beat-making so much myself. Working in my studio mixin’ samples and drums, playing with some chords on the keyboard and blending different sounds and styles… Oh YEAH – I love it!!
My songs are from a personal point of view and mostly deal with situations from my life (good times and bad times), love, sex and my view on the world in general... Everyday life inspires me, so that’s what I write about! My music is me – 100% - it’s that simple and I’m very excited about getting my music out to all of you out there…

How I got into music:
I’ve been a fan of music my whole life but my personal story begins as Hip hop music – and culture - swept across the country of Denmark in the late 80’s and early 90’s. I got hooked on it and it came to a point where I just had to start making music myself. So I did… I started out free-stylin’ and beat-boxin’ while at the same time I was struggling to get my first studio set up. As I got my studio put together I also started on writing actual rap lyrics and melodies which has led me to where I am today. Since I started out, I’ve been involved in various music projects as a producer as well as an MC – and I’m also 1/5 part of the Danish Hiphop click: KBH KARTEL (Copenhagen Cartel) which is strictly Danish Rap music.
Today, I'm finally in the game as a solo artist - and my name is KD... Marc KD!

I was born and raised in a suburb west of Copenhagen but moved into the capitol city of Denmark in 2002. My love for music goes way back and I’m very much inspired by many different genres and artists such as Michael Jackson, Elvis, Barry White, James Brown, Prince, George Clinton, Zapp & Roger, Stevie Wonder, Marvin Gaye, Sly & The Family Stone, Rick James, Outkast, 8Ball & MJG, Snoop, Dre, Nate Dogg, Missy Elliot, D’Angelo etc.
Last but not least I gotta give shout outs to all of the involved artists and beat-makers whom I'm proud to be workin’ with on my debut album - Thank you for your support and dedication!
