About Me

Full- figured humble Diva (claiming the title but reinventing the definition). Lately that's what comes out of people's mouthes when they greet me (I'm finally learning to own it with humility and honor). Cause I have a mission and I work hard against naysayers and those who can't help that they can't see the vision - so it's my job not to fall into the limits of how high they view the sky but to pull them up with me so that they can view the world from a different altitude.

"Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness, that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, and fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be?... Your playing small doesn't serve the world... The above speech by Nelson Mandela was orignally written by Marianne Williamson."

My Interests

I'd like to meet:

In a private conversation with just me and her - Maya Angelou for saving a stocky little black girl's life with poetry that spoke to me (Still I Rise, Phenomenal Woman) and Nikki Giovanni for helping me understand the complexities of (To Be a Gemini). All the fierce other Gemini's who can relate to the ying and yang of themselves like Prince, Lenny Kravitz, Patti Labelle, Angelina Jolie, and others - they validate my genius and my suffering everyday. I want to go back in time and have lunch with Lorraine Hansbury and Zora Neale Husrton, have a pajama party with Audre Lorde and Pat Parker, Nurse back to health Essex Hemphill and Bayard Rustin update my passport and travel in exile with James Baldwin on a private plane to anywhere other than here. Learn a move or two from Josephine Baker and Alvin Ailey.I want a one on one encore performance from living legend -Judith Jamison who gave an s-curved colored girl dreams of flying without wings so much so that I "Cry" from this "Revelation"I want to have tea and crumpets with new world women artists like Amy Tan and Sandra Cisneros - with the generation x'ers who dare claim their space agmonst the y chromosoned genders who consistantly need to rationalize the world according to how large things appear in phallic terms.Get Your Own! | View SlideshowI want to meet women who are raging and ain't afraid to tell somebody, anybody, everybody
