I was once a force in discount retail. Long before the days "other people" came up with the "Supercenter" I had a collection of clothing, housewares, home decor, hardware, toys and food under one roof. I was undergoing a major remodeling and restyling when my parent company (Lucky Stores) had to dump me to thwart a hostile takeover... and that was the end.Most of my Nothern California properties were sold to Target Stores which remodeled them. Some Southern California and Arizona stores also went to Target Stores, while others have taken on other roles. Some have also been demolished.
