Classical cellist turned steel pan player who is rediscovering cello again. I play and arrange music for Pan Masters Steel Orchestra based near Washington DC (www.panmasters.com). I do various other freelancing on pan and cello. Some of my current projects include playing cello with ilyAIMY (www.ilyaimy.com - the two songs on my profile are from their newest CD, available 8/8/09, which I guested on), pan and cello with 50 Man Machine (rock/Celtic/world) and pan & cello with a new genre-crossing quartet with Tom Espinola, Avril Smith and John Seebach (mandolins, mandocello, guitars & vocals). We play old-time Appalachian tunes, Brazilian choros, jazz and string band-influenced originals, Tom Waits & Beatles covers, and more. I teach group pan classes and private cello lessons, although I'm finding less time for that these days. By day I am the general manager of House of Musical Traditions, an acoustic music shop in Takoma Park, MD (www.musicaltraditions.com).
