About Me

"Never let your sense of morals prevent you from doing what is right" - Isaac Asimov

I'm smart, funny and good-looking, but that's subjective isn't it? My family loves me and that's probably the best thing that could be said about me.

I'm a musician, with a great "day job" in the music industry (Kanstul Musical Instruments - we manufacture professional brasswinds, and I'm the sales manager)

I play with The Wiseguys Big Band Machine! The Wiseguys Big Band Machine! I'm also the lead player for The New FBI, Orange County's Rock and Soul Horn Band. Check us out sometime!
In case anyone is interested, I play do Kanstul trumpets, and have played Kanstul, or Kanstul-made horns most of my life!

My Interests

I'd like to meet:

My job with Kanstul already allows me to meet many interesting and talented people. Doc Severinsen once played trumpet in my bathroom...how cool is that?? I have a trumpet in my office which I call my "autograph horn"...it's been played by Rick Baptist, Wayne Bergeron, Oscar Brashear (who actually knew and worked with Brockman), Paul Cacia, Bill Churchville, Anne King, Harry Kim, Tim Wendt, Steve Reid, John Reid, Dave Trigg, Charley Davis, Walt Johnson, Tim Morrison, David Hickman, Bennie Cowan, Rashawn Ross and more! I dropped it at a rehearsal, though...good thing I know a great repairman!!

California, You Disappoint Me...

So California, what I hear you saying is that you think chickens and pigs are entitled to rights but our LGBT friends are not. Did I get that right? Because that's what it sounds like to me. Did you n...

The Age of Hope

This would probably be more appropriate as a blog but I'm posting it as a bulletin instead. I hope you enjoy reading, and I hope it provokes thought and of course hope.  Historians tend to label ...
