Mask Conspiracy is a ferocious crunk rap group that hails from the streets of Saginaw and Flint, MI. The group is comprised of two brothers, who are on a mission to inject the current state of hip-hop with a lethal dose of pure adrenaline.
Kataztrophe (Bernie Mayville) is most known for his rapid fire delivery with lyrics and crazy rhyme schemes. His voice is arguably one of a kind that draws the listeners right out of their seats into the music. He has an east-coast style when it comes to punch lines and delivery, but when it comes to the rest, it definitely has that mid-west sizzle.
C-O double-X (Joe Coxx) the younger brother of the group is known for pulling double duty as Rapper and Executive Producer. When he was approached and asked to explain the essence of his dark gritty sound he responded with “Its what my brain has absorbed throughout the last 15 years. I grew up listening to all different kinds of music as a child. The darker content and gritty street aspect of music in general has always appealed to me. Most of my influence comes from various artists such as 2-pac, the original Triple Six Mafia, Flint's own Dayton Family etc. I also get a lot of inspiration from certain bands such as Judas Priest, Ozzy Osbourne, Stone Temple Pilots, Guns N’ Roses and believe it or not Van Halen. All those groups and many more have inspired most of our musical and lyrical content.â€
Meanwhile this “gruesome twosome†has managed to independently release their highly anticipated debut L.P entitled “Beginning Of The Burialâ€. Upon listening to the record one is bombarded with vivid street imagery, catchy hooks and murderous rhyme schemes. All of which is layed to the tone of heavy bass-lines, crisp snares and haunting piano chords. Mask Conspiracy is currently promoting and selling the album through any means necessary. Such as, free promotional cd’s, mix-tapes, flyers, networking, and performing live shows from mid Michigan to southern Kentucky.
It’s not hard to tell that these two have a certain chemistry that goes great together. From their drive and hunger, to their all out sheer determination, this group has what it takes to make it in the big leagues. If I were a gambling man I would move all my chips to the center of the table, because this duo is the total package.
