To REALLY get to KNOW the REAL ME and get INSIDE MY HEAD - read my Blogs. My Card:
You are The High Priestess
Science, Wisdom, Knowledge, Education.
The High Priestess is the card of knowledge - instinctual, supernatural, secret knowledge. She holds scrolls of arcane information that she might, or might not reveal to you. The moon crown on her head, as well as the crescent by her foot, indicates her willingness to illuminate what you otherwise might not see...reveal the secrets you need to know. The High Priestess is also associated with the moon, however and can also indicate change or fluxuation, particularily when it comes to your moods.
What Tarot Card are You?

I was trained to be a "healer" and studied to become a Herbalist, Aromatherapist, Homeopathy, Ear Candling Tech, Reiki Practioner and Kathara Healer, among many other things. I managed a health food store in additon to seeing my own patients for over a decade. I love working with herbs, essential oils, and Flower Remedies. I was raised with one foot in Christian dogma and the other in a world of...I don't even have a name for it. But, I feel blessed by my gifts of animal communication, and to some small degree as A Seer.http://i164.photobucket.com/albums/u26/bloodlust69420/f
antasy-7.jpgI believe "religion(s)" are just many rivers that lead to one well, and in my many years of studying and exploring world religions and spirituality, I have found that my path is that of Druidry. Oddly enough, since moving back to Calgary after 15 years in Okotoks. I have totally changed careers and am no longer a "practising" Herbalist, but am the Manager and EA to the President & CEO of Aviation Alberta! I work with The Extreme Rock program part-time and find working with talented, young, up-&-coming musicians fulfilling, rewarding and so much fun. I especially enjoy my days sequestered away in the recording studio.Nevertheless, my passion for the healing arts has not waned, and in my new, much older, much smaller house, I have found much more time to meditate, commune with nature and to put regular Druidic practice back into my life. I find I seem to have much more "Sight", more telepathic communication with the animals around me and greater "pull" with the Universe now. All very positive spiritual changes indeed! Makes downsizing all the more worthwhile. What do I love to fill up any "spare" time with? I LOVE my Voice Lessons and my Vocal Coach, Sandy D'Acey is really bringing out the "vocal athlete" in me. I am SO fortunate to have gone into the MCC RECORDING STUDIO to cut a single recently. I put my heart and soul into my SINGING and my BELLY DANCING. Dafne of ARABIA ADORNED BELLY DANCE ACADEMY is so patient at bringing out the "natural" dancer in me! And the combination of the Egyptian/Arabic music and the naturally sensual movements of the belly dance (though a VERY challenging workout) just bring out a part of me that one doesn't see when I go about my daily life - especially my work (who knew I'd be a corporate Jane?)! I'm a natural "ham", so any chance I get to perform for people is when I feel most "alive" - whether dancing, singing or acting. Yes, ACTING is another great love of mine. And, of course, my WRITING. I am a HUGE journaler (is that a word?), blogger and am working on a children's book series (very slowly, but hopefully I see it finished and published before I'm either old and senile or ashes!). I also enjoy staying fit by doing Pilates, Yoga and Strength Training in addition to Belly dancing. What do I value most? Integrity, honesty, loyalty, genuine friendship, compassion, ambition, a strong work ethic, the ability to laugh at ones self, a suberb sense of humour, and an open mind. Definitely integrity, honesty, loyalty and compassion are THE most important traits any person can own (in my never-to-be-humble opinion). I also think it is SO important to be a REAL friend. I value my small circle of close friends most highly and would do almost anything for them. True and genuine friends are rare, so it is important to BE a loyal, honest and REAL friend to those we share that kind of relationship with. That level of friendship leaves you exposed, naked, vulnerable...so to share that level of friendship with a select few people definitely requires the utmost integrity, loyalty, honest, respect and trust. Of course, I also enjoy the company of my many not-so-close friends. I have SO many wonderful memories of times spent laughing and laughing and laughing, and singing Karaoke and just being in the moment.I'm not great at describing myself, so I'll tell you what others have said about me. When people describe me they say things like: "Out there"; "Bohemian" (thanx Debbie!); "Unconventional....but, in a good way"; "Weird...but, in a good way" (thanx Robert!); "A conundrum"; "A contradiction"; "A paradox" (thanx Doc Ed!) "Mercurial" (thanx Greg!); Passionate"; "Compassionate" (thanx Tup); "Loyal" (thanx again, Tup!); "Blunt"; "Honest (without tact)"; "A person with a Hero Complex" (thanx Sherry!); and my favorite, (thanx Christamaphone!) "THE NEO-HIPPIE" and two brand new ones - "THE PROTO-HIPPIE" (thanx Savannah) and "A ROUND PEG TRYING TO FIT INTO A SQUARE" (thanks Sandy!).
Buried at PhotoCasket.comI'm not interested in marriage. But, everyone always asks me, "Don't you want to meet that 'special guy'?"
Hey! I meet 'special' guys all the time! And if I was married, I'd have to stop doing that, now wouldn't I???? All kidding aside, I'd like to meet a guy I could spend time with. I'd love a really awesome, healthy, monogamous relationship, but marriage is a deal breaker.
I love my space/solitude. I'm okay with the idea of being in a committed, monogamous relationship and hope I find that "special someone" one day soon - but my 'significant other' would have to keep an apartment, condo or house of his/her own, so that when all that loving 'togetherness' shit becomes more than I can handle, they can either go live at their place for a while or vice versa. I don't know if there really IS anyone out there like that. Hell, maybe with the "right" guy, I wouldn't feel at all claustrophobic! But, every guy I meet wants every second of my non-working time and I can't handle that - it's suffocating. So, I'm okay with the idea of spending the rest of my life sans-partner and/or being a 'serial monogomist'. I got married once. Wouldn't ever do that again. Been there, done that, got the absolutely awesome kids!
Myspace CommentsI love the feeling of a first long glance, first kiss, a first embrace, the first time.....firsts are definitely intoxicating. I love amusement parks - especially ones with great Roller Coasters! I love living life to the fullest. I'm afraid of heights, but I believe in facing and conquering my fears so I never shy away from climbing new heights. I love the freedom of BELLY DANCING and getting all my emotions out by SINGING songs that resonate with my life's journey. I love not being me by ACTING in live theatre whenever possible. One fear I don't plan on challenging again is my fear of marriage! A piece of government-issued paper does not a successful relationship make!!!
Buried at PhotoCasket.comI am who I am. I believe in being genuine - "Be yourself and nobody else". With me, what you see is what you get. I have so many facets to myself that one never knows which "me" I'll be today - at least so I've been told. I guess that would give new meaning to the song "I'm every woman", huh?I love tattoos -the ones that actually have real meaning. Jordan @ Sin City is responsible for some of my other pain addictions, but man, he RULES! Great friend, awesome Piercer! Jordan has been learning to tattoo since fall '06. JORDAN - you RULE, man - Love ya, Babe!I like to laugh...a lot! I love my kids and my friends. I'm a very spiritual person, but I don't believe in a "God" or a "Satan" or a "Heaven" or a "Hell". I believe everything is alive and has a soul. I believe we humans are not superior, but we are stewards of this planet and all life on it. I am currently an ex-Vegan and a quasi vegetarian - I'm okay with meat, but almost never eat it. I love the East Coast - Cape Breton, Boston, Salem. I love SanFransisco! I love the ocean, especially being out in the middle of it. I love flying - especially in small planes and most especially in helicopters! I'm now past getting used to the smell of jet fuel and am beginning to really enjoy the smell of jet fuel - which is pervasive in my office. I love hiking, fishing, horsebackriding, driving really fast, experiencing new things. I love basking in the sun's rays while listening to a soft breeze make the trees make their music and the sound of my wind chimes while I lie in bed at night or early in the morning. Hell! I love life! "We're here for a good time, not a long time", right? So have a GREAT time, "the sun can't shine every day!"Background Graphic
