WHY WORRY AND HAVE WRINKLES, WHEN U CAN SMILE AND HAVE DIMPLES!
I dig the sun and outdoorsy stuff, bbq's, kayaking, rollercoasters, and anything that gets my heart beating out of my chest to sometimes remind me i'm still alive (skydiving ROCKS and no, there is no such thing as a perfectly good airplane!). I absolutely love acoustic quitar pickin, body art and piercings, malibu rum on the rocks, men that aren't afraid to cry and don't lie, watching extreme sports of ALL sorts...especially UFC, meeting new people and seeing old friends, getting the hell out of Longview, expanding my horizons, mentoring kids with disabilities, reporting on and watching someone get a $250 ticket for illegally parking in a handicap parking space (they always say they were just running in for a minute and btw, laziness is NOT a disability) not to mention setting people straight that for some ridiculous reason think people in chairs must have a disease that is contagious if they talk to you or stand too close to you. I'm very easily entertained and I see the true beauty in the little things in life that too many people don't take the time to notice. I'm also interested in interesting people that have stories that inspire me to keep on keeping on.

I'm Executive Director/Co-founder of a non-profit org called POWER, Inc. (People On Wheels Encouraging Responsibility) and our mission statement is to help enable independence for people with physical disabilities. If you want more info about what we do, I suggest you read my blog called "emPOWERed"...and the following little clip was carefully constructed by a dear friend, Will, and if you can't read the billboard, this is what it says...(Come to the edge he said...But we are afraid they said...
Come to the edge he said...And they came to the edge and he pushed them...And they flew.)
I lived thru my accident for a reason, so I'm here to live rather than just exist. My interests are pretty diverse and people in general just fascinate me. I avoid negative people at all costs. It helps preserve my sanity. I love to have fun and be surrounded by friends. I'm commited to the long haul and I'll die for the people that I hold dear. I have a lot of love to go around so when it comes to the opposite sex, jealousy has no room to exist in my ventures. confidence is very attractive to me in both men and women.
i have some pretty colorful friends, to say the least. i would really like to meet more people close by to just kick it with doing whatever...i like being spontaneous and i'm far from high maintenence!
i truly believe that God puts people in our paths for a reason. i live a purposeful life and know when all the stars line up right i will find my special bright spot, cuz i know he's out there somewhere lookin for me too.

my mom...September 1932-February 2008. she was the backbone of my family and the strongest, most loving, most compassionate, most soft-spoken whip-cracker on the planet. words cannot describe how much i miss her. I AM WHO I AM BECAUSE OF MY MOM...and i will always strive to be as strong a woman as she was. i also respect any individual that defies the "odds" against them, chooses to live rather than just exist and lets no one nor nothing stand in their way of happiness and contentment while leaving the world a more pleasant and enlightened place than it was before they were here...kinda like Jesus did.
