Matt Cline

Matt Cline is a singer-songwriter who proudly hails from Carthage, Missouri, where he grew up learning the importance of God, family, fishing, and hunting anything that moved. With a love for many genres of music instilled in him by his grandmother and his father, he began singing and learning to play the guitar on his own. After high school, Matt spent time playing local bars, parties, and roping arenas with a couple of buddies. Not the biggest venues, but you've got to cut your teeth somewhere. With the influence of a family friend, Matt developed a deep interest in the craft of songwriting. He continued writing songs and singing while trying to decide where to go with it next. Well, a few years, several jobs, and three colleges later, Matt received a business degree in sales, then took a sales job with a company specializing in imported chocolate and pastry ingredients. Though that job would take him throughout the U.S. and Europe, it landed him where he always felt he was being led, Nashville. Matt moved to Nashville in 2001 where he has been writing and playing shows with some of Music City's finest up and coming artists and writers. He has had several independant cuts and has had one, count em', one song to date played at the Opry. He was fortunate enough to have signed his first publishing deal in 2009 with one of his musical heros, Ray Stevens. It is a long road to find success in this business, but Matt is in it for the long haul. Matt currently resides in Nashville with his beautiful and very supportive wife Beth, who had to edit his grammar on this bio
