Band Members: Just me muhfucka...
Influences: Music most definately is the foundation of my life. I learn from it, I obtained the power of creation from it.....my life damn near revolves around it. Also one of my biggest and most enlightening influences ever by far would have to be my friend Colin. He is an absolutely incredible musician. Anyone who really pays attention to all types of music...knows that it goes beyond just playing the notes. It goes beyond that song. That solo. It's EVERYTHING. I have just been listening to him play since we were kids. We expierienced all new music together, everything new we heard, whatever it was...we had to show eachother. People and places come and go...but the music was and is always there. I fiend for it. I honestly think my obsession with music is a little out of control and I should seek some type of treatment.....hmmm.....anyway, when I dont feel like listening to myself, I'm giving respect to........Michael Jackson (R.I.P.), Kool G Rap, DJ Dara, The Outsidaz, Maynard Fergeson, Lil Wayne, Infected Mushroom, Diabolic, Kittie, 7L and Esoteric, E-Town Concrete, Outerspace, Portishead, Styles of Beyond, Bob Marley, Hatebreed, DJ Shadow, BIG PUN (R.I.P.), Snot (R.I.P.), Jon Coltrane, Jedi Mind Tricks, The Crystal Method, Black Star, Isaac Hayes (R.I.P.), Eminem, Percee P, Big L (R.I.P.) & DITC, Bach, Wu-Tang, KRS-ONE, Dr. Octagon, Jus-Allah, Mobb Deep, Massive Attack, System of a Down, Virtuoso, The Deftones, The Pharcyde, Immortal Technique, Twista, Del Tha Funky Homosapien/Deltron 3030, Bone Thugs-n-Harmony, Sneaker Pimps, Twiztid, Inspectah Deck, Kingspade, D12, Apathy, Celph Titled, Beethoven, Reef the Lost Cauze, Slayer, Obie Trice, Dr. Dre, Slightly Stoopid, Collie Buddz, Mindless Self Indulgence, Nas, Rachmaninoff, Barry White, Kottonmouth Kings, DJ Bobby B, El-P, Mos Def, A Tribe Called Quest, Redman, La the Darkman, Method Man, Tech Nine, Jaz-O, MC Supernatural, BT, Onyx, Jay-Z, OPM, Macgreggor, Public Enemy, Rahzel, Busta Rhymes, Aphex Twin, Missy Elliot, Shabazz the Disciple, Dieselboy, Ice Cube, Gorillaz, Street Life, Incubus(in the day), Peter Tosh, Bloodhound Gang, The Notorious B.I.G .(R.I.P), DJ Skribble, Crime Mob, Kool Mo Dee, Boogie Down Productions, DJ K-Swift, Canibus, George Clinton and Parliament, The Lowlife, The Eagles, Three Six Mafia, Led Zepplin, DMX(in the day), Black Sabbath, Dido, Radiohead, Akrobatic, Static-X, Jack Johnson, Killah Priest, Snoop Dogg(in the day), Meshugga, Kate Bush, Propellerheads, Royce Da 5"9', Tone Loc, St. Lunatics, N.W.A. Among music I have other things that generally entertain me. Books for example...which our culturally-depraved society seems to be losing grasp of these days. I won't go on and on but some of my favorites are "Behold a Pale Horse" by William Cooper, "Peace Not Apartheid" by President Jimmy Carter, "Fast Food Nation" and "Reefer Madness" by Eric Schlosser, "Atlas Shrugged" (which I finally finished) by Ayn Rand, RZA's book "The Wu-Tang Manual", Khaled Hosseini's "Kite Runner", a dramtization of the middle east, "The Shock Doctrine" by Naomi Klein, "The Serial Killer Files" by Harold Schechter, etc. I read a lot of Stephen King shit when I was younger...all the classics, Garfield books, Comics & Graphic Novels, Guinness Book of World Records, Mapbooks & Atlases, Encyclopedias, All Holy Scriptures...and then of course there's always good ol' Webster's...
I love the Washington Report as well...very highly spoken for, cutting edge but can be overwhelming at times...as well as mostly syndicated for muslims. Baltimore's City Paper is also always a charm and at times has writing way above the usual potential...also great for reviews and checking local spots and venues. The Washington Post is in-depth...gets you where you need to go. The New York Times is mad biased and overrated. The Baltimore Sun?...eh...
Ahhh some tv I guess...even though ideaologically I think it's bad for your soul... I love Planet Earth...epically entertaining, South Park(classic now and the satire never left), Family Guy(Seth McFarlane is a very creative and impressive man...since the moment I saw it...I loved it and I knew it was going to be huge), Scrubs(very well-written and every charachter kills their role with razor-sharp wit...and Cox is a beast.), House, 60 Minutes, Penn & Teller: BULLSHIT! (helps me sleep at night with every one that someone finally said something rational about various controversial topics...and with such a smart-ass way of doing it...and with proof!), All forensic and true-crime shows, OLD SKOOL SHIT! Ren & Stimpy, ...and of course there's always the news for a good laugh.....BOO! AH HA HA...uhh...
Two Words. SILENT HILL.
(I can't even begin to elaborate on how fascinating this series is. If you have a looong time ask me and I shall explain. But if you want to have a good time...play any one of them...and adapt to your surroundings...focus on your senses...pure psychological terror.)
Comedians. Always peak my interest...so many different styles and acts and faces...versatile like hip-hop. My father raised me on Sam Kinison (R.I.P.), who was an excellent performer, a great stage show. He also showed me a lot of old Cheech & Chong on vinyl when I was quite young and that shit was hilarious. Geroge Carlin is fantastic...not just as a comedian . He is very vivid and deep and at times has been known to share very interesting ideology. *R.I.P.*I was watching Richard Pryor when I was mad young and always thought he was amazing. Dane Cook for just being so nuts even though he's mad played out now and is actually a douchebag. Uhhhh Bill Hicks(of course)*R.I.P*, Brian Poeshen(Awesome!) Demetri Martin, Chris Rock, Louis C.K.(Awesome!), Rodman, Stephen Byrne, Lisa Lampinelli, Sarah Silverman, Bill Cosby, Lavelle Crawford, Dave Attell, Mitch Hedberg, John Caparulo, other various folk. I like everyone though...even the redneck fucks sometimes...Ralphie May is a beast too peep that shit...
The World around me and the city of Baltimore continues to be my defining influence...bar none.
