I don't know about the rest of you, but I'm pretty depressed about the state of the music scene in the Boston area. Not only have most of the major live music clubs shut down, but now we're losing Tower Records in many locations throughout the area. That only leaves us with Newbury Comics. How long before they are forced into the same fate? I love music and I always have loved the music scene here in Boston. I still do, only it seems like it dwindles by the day. Every club has cover bands now, and good luck finding a CD shop. I'm all for Itunes, but I still like to go to a shop and spend a couple of hours browsing. Remember Disk Diggers in Davis Square, Somerville? The best little used shop in Boston? They're long gone. That locatio is now another useless bank. The original House of Blues? Now a BBQ joint with little to no music upstairs.It's time to take the music back! My goal here is to start up a trading network with fellow music lovers. I've been involved with various internet mixed CD trades for about a year now. It's a great way to discover new music. I'll be setting up a new trade venture every one to two months. Once people sign up, they will be split into groups. That way, if 200 people sign up, they won't have to burn 200 CD's.Right now, I'm just trying to get people interested. Once I have at least 50 people here, I'll start up the first trade. Any music is allowed. Just remember it is a mixed CD trade. Don't just burn a single album! That would be cheating and lazy.So please, if you are interested, friend request me or accept my request. As I previously stated, this is a very unique way to aquire some great music for free.Happy Listening!!!
