About Me

HAMMERHAND is essentially the brainchild of Graham “Rockwell” Mclaren, Tim “Sasquatch” Henderson and Neil “Korneilius” Short. These three dudes were, prior to forming HH around August 2006, successful pro wrestlers (hence the nicknames).

Rockwell and Sasquatch took up their axe duties while Korneilius took up the mic. After a brief stint with a drummer named Ian Stobbie, David “Franny” Francis, came along and was clearly the man for the job, with passion, energy and inspiration. Similarly, after a lengthy stint with bassist Ross Girvan, HH recruited Craig “Chinny” Martin, who was definitely the man for THAT job due to his solidity, inspiration and work ethic.

The core of the HH sound is the merging of bluesy metal and thrash metal, i.e. Sasquatch and Rockwell’s guitar styles. These 3 gents quit wrestling around the same time and focused on songwriting, which was challenging at first because compromising with ideas isn’t always easy, well it never really is….. The sound has now evolved into a powerful groove, their closest comparison would undoubtedly be Pantera although HH certainly have their own style - powerful metal songs that have balls and speak for themselves.

HAMMERHAND have made a considerable impact on the Perth scene, and after a period of songwriting and getting the demo recorded are ready to take on the world, which begins with gigs in all Scottish and, hell, British cities and beyond. HH have a fantastic, passionate following in Perthshire who represent with the double H emblazoned on their chests. These guys all fucking rock and we love them!

HAMMERHAND ARE READY TO CONQUER WITH THEIR BRAND OF POWER GROOVE THRASH METAL!!

THAT’S RIGHT!
