The Cracked Pot

Gay and disabled turns out to be vivid and accomplished" - Adelaide Advertiser 16/11/07

About Me

The magic has begun.....

We have fab new wrist bands only available at the show!!!....

A water bearer had two pots. One perfect, one cracked. The perfect pot was proud of its achievements but the cracked pot said, "I am ashamed, my flaw causes water to leak all the way home." The water bearer replied, "Didn't you notice the flowers on your side of the path? I planted seeds and you watered them each day as we walked. Now I can pick beautiful flowers. Without you being just the way you are, there would not be this beauty to grace my house.

'The Cracked Pot' is the first skill development performance project by emerging and established queer, disabled performers and artists in Australia. This show features Nosotros : fifteen gay, lesbian and queer disabled Adelaide performers exploring their incredible journeys and defining moments through text, song, movement, comedy, live music and projected image. A 'work in progress' production was performed at Carclew House for The Feast Festival in November last year. A super improved, thrilling, intensive full production is coming your way next month. Show dates below.

Director - Kat Worth, Designer - Gaelle Mellis, Assistant Director- Amethyst De Wilde, Creative Assistant - Gabrielle Griffin, Film maker - Quentin Kenihan, Project Coordinator - Margie Fischer.
