Worrell Bros. Music Studio

About Me

Worrell Bros. Music Studio was officially opened in January of 2006, but this was not the true beginning. Fabian "Minim" Worrell, one of the two producers, was running a smaller setup for about a year, before he was joined by Justin "JL" Worrell, his older brother, on completion of his studies at Acadia University in Canada, where he successfully attained a Bachelor of Arts in Music (Music Technology) in 2005. At the beginning of 2006, the brothers decided to invest more capital into the business and expanded the studio into a state of the art, Pro Tools based recording facility.
JUSTIN "JL" WORRELL - Producer
At age 25, the more musicially trained and experienced of the two, Justin, has made a great reputation for himself as one of the leading bass guitarists on the island, with more than 10 years experience on the stage. At 15 yrs, while still attending the Lodge School, he was the bass guitarist in a Calypso tent. He also had a number of years experience on the hotel circuit and featured in a local band that opened for major international acts "Spyro Gyro" and Marcus Miller at the Barbados Jazz Festival in 1996. Justin, a former Barbados Scholar, now holds a B.A in Music and is a music professor at the Barbados Community College. He is also known as "Black Magic", when appearing in the hot new local alternative band "Masala". In the studio he is currently working on projects for a number of artistes and bands including Masala, Leanne and local Latin fusion band Proyecto Barbados.
FABIAN "MINIM" WORRELL - Producer
At age 18, Minim has already developed professional realtioships and produced for a wide catalogue of local artistes including Ayana John, Kimbereley Inniss, Damian Marvay, Billy Kincaid, Blade, Buggy, Bruce from the band Jabae, Teff and J-Co and currently working on projects for a number of up and coming acts such as T.Dot, C.O.A and Shanta Prince, to name just a few. Minim's career was jump-started locally, while still attending Harrison College, when he teamed up with Teff, a former schoolmate, whom he had been working with since the school days, and released his first single. "Bajetown's Finest". Following soon after was a bigger break in the form of Billy Kincaid's "We Live On" on which he teamed up with long-time mentor KB Sharpe at Hit Island to produce this smash hit. This was only to be the beginning. Recent releases such as "Waitin'" by Blade and Damian Marvay, "Go" by Teff, the hip-hop remix to Shanta's "Island Girl", "Recognize The Name" by T.Dot and "Who You Know" by C.O.A are showing great promise. Like others before him, Fabian hopes to have made a significant impact on the local music industry by the time his career comes to a close. So listen out for another big hit with the name Minim and the Worrell Brothers logo branded on it..... I created my layout at KillerKiwi.net
