Rod Lumpkin

The mandate became clear on Rod’s life when God spoke to him one day saying, “I’m coming for a Church that looks and sounds like Heaven”. Rod believes too many churches lock into their own corner of influence rather than embrace the Kingdom Sound of Worship which bridges the gap between Race and Creed. There is a sound of worship that transcends cultures and embraces multi-cultures as well unites denominational lines. There is a Sound that Ebraces All Nations.In 1992 at twenty, God called Rod to the ministry. He received his first ordination in Canada from Dayspring Church of Windsor, under the pastorate of Bishop James Pittman. Thereafter, Elder Rod Lumpkin II was ordained in the United States, under the pastorate of Bishop William Murphy, Jr.Elder Rod Lumpkin II currently serves as Minister of Worship and Praise at Changing A Generation FGBC Church in Atlanta, under the pastorate of Bishop Paul S. Morton, Sr. In addition to his service in the local church, Rod serves internationally as Assistant Minister of Worship and Praise, under the leadership of Pastor William Murphy III, in the FGBCF.Elder Lumpkin has recorded three Cd’s entitled, “Center of My Joy, No Greater Love, and I Need More”. Rod has written and produced for such artists as, Bishop William Murphy Jr. “Crazy Praise”, Bishop Neil C. Ellis and the Mount Tabor Praise and Worship Team “Wave of Glory”, The FG International Worship Ministry “Next Dimension of Worship”, Lindsey and Jemica Ferguson “Count It All Joy”, The Georgia State FGBC Fellowship Choir "We Are One", Jerald Patrick and the Bridge Project "I Need More", and Gospel Dream 2004 winner, Stephanie Dotson “Jehovah God”.As residents of New Orleans during hurricane Katrina, Rod and his family were directly affected by the devastation. Therefore, it was an honor for him to participate in the recording and live performances on NBC’s Today show and the 2005 World Series for the hit song, Heart of America, along with Eric Benét, Wynnona Judd, Michael McDonald, and Terry Dexter. Proceeds from the song went toward Katrina relief efforts.Rod is one the country’s most sought after praise and worship conference speakers and instructors. He is a prolific songwriter, producer, and recording artist. Rod’s biggest supporters are his wife of Fourteen years, Jacquelyne, and their two sons Jousel & Jalen.
