About Me

Coming from a musical family, with an incredibly talented father, and weekly band practice in my basement, not too many were surprised when I expressed an interest in music. My parents were the first people to realize I was interested in singing when at the age of 3 they heard me singing along with the Eagles in my car seat.
From that point on there were lots of sing-alongs while my dad played the guitar, and many a cappella performances prompted by my grandparents and other relatives.
Music has always been a huge part of my life, and growing up I was lucky to have parents with extremely good taste in music. I grew up on Janis Joplin, The Eagles, The Beatles, Lynard Skynard, Harry Chapin, and Fleetwood Mac to name a few. Not a bad bunch to have been influenced by while growing up!
It wasn't until I was 19 that I actually started singing with a band. What started with backing vocals with an incredibly talented group of people in the band Eclipse, turned into an addiction to perform.
From there, after weeks of prompting from my former neighbor and good friend Russell Riel, whom I am very sorry to say is no longer with us, and his wife Pam, I mustered up the courage to front a cover band in Western Massachusetts. Moving on later to front a couple on the North Shore, as well. I was lucky enough to work with collaboration of old friends and extremely talented people, as you can hear from the demo, in the band RadioKill.
These days I am still listening to the great stuff I was influenced by while growing up, along with many more including Tori Amos, Nikka Costa, Beth Hart, Eva Cassidy, Aretha Franklin, No Doubt, (Old School) Aerosmith, Maroon 5, Pink, Black Crows, Melissa Etheridge, Alanis, and Sheryl Crow, Susan Tedeschi, Joss Stone, The Killers, and just about everything else under the sun. My MP3 collection is as diverse as it gets!
I love jamming with talented people that know this is only a hobby, and don't take it too seriously. I have no patience for drama, or inflated egos, and would rather be home with my daughter than deal with either one. I have done some studio work, some fill in work for other cover bands, my personal favorite being the amazing group of musicians in the band Moonshine, (***check them out they ROCK***) and have also done some work at weddings, which I absolutely LOVE. Ave Maria is one of the most beautiful songs I have ever had the pleasure of singing.
Hope to see you out there!!

Influences: First and foremost, my biggest influence hands down is my unbelievably talented dad, Lou Perillo. My daddy could teach himself to play ANYTHING, wrote some of the most beautiful lyrics, and music I have heard, and will always be my Superhero. I miss him more than I could ever possibly put into words, but I am lucky to have his music as a part of his amazing legacy.... Let's not forget some of the ladies : Janis, Aretha, Tori, Eva Cassidy, Beth Hart, Nikka Costa, Joss Stone, Gwen, Sheryl, Melissa, Susan, Pink and any other woman that knows how to ROCK! Too many to mention……
