Cafe 1040 was extablished in May 2000 as a non-profit organization committed to preparing North American college students for evangelism inside the 10/40 window. The 10/40 window is the area between 10 degrees and 40 degrees north of the equator and represents the largest population of non-Christians in the world. As a faith based non-prifit, we conduct a three month, intensely experiential training program inside the 10/40 window comparable in lenth and depth to 18 semester hours. During thi semester long program abroad, students and recent graduates study language, culture, history, religion and technology. They are exposed to field survival, cultural immersion, and people groups while exploring various topographies. This is hands-on, real-world training, preparing the emerging generation for a possible calling/career in missions.
