Anima began as a four-piece band, with Cillian Foster (lead guitar, backing vocals), Anthony Furey (vocals and bass), Justin Flynn (drums) and Steve Brown (rhythm guitar). This line up lasted until 2001.ANIMA reformed in 2003 as a two-piece band, keeping the original name, two of the original members, Anthony Furey and Cillian Foster, and focusing on a more acoustic approach.Cillian and Anthony have been working hard since Anima's return gaining exposure in many of the National Newspapers and also being featured on all the major radio station. They have been guest performers in some of Dublin's most prestigious songwriting events - The Ruby Sessions, The VR Sessions, 98FM Battle of the Bands and most recently The Selected Sound. Recent supports with Mark Geary for his latest album launch ("Ghosts") in Whelans, also with Brendan O'Shea, Aslan, Picturehouse, Finbar Furey and many more. With upcoming shows with many of Irelands leading artists - things are surely going in the right direction. Hopefully see you along the way

This is a band from Dublin with deep roots in the irish music scene and reflect alot of there influences through there music, melodic sounds and full of rhythm- ANIMA
GRAFTON STREET- Nice gutair picking in this tune blended with fantastic vocals, chorus is expressed with a lot of passion, a real heart stabber tune excellent stuff!!
HOLD ON- This tune is a great example of harmony vocals, it works great in the verses and the rest of the song, rhythm gutair has a nice even flow to it, its a song that calls you home, a real laid back melody.
DANCING FOR FUN- A very melodic tune that blends the vocal and music together perfect, vocals are excallent, sound great with the strings a great sing along tune, the violin solo is great the band back it up very well by doubling the tempo here, sounds great.
