I can't possibly exist without music, everywhere I go music will follow. I will get bored and will spend hours looking for new music, it comes in cycle... I like lots of style but can be picky within each one.... some of my favorites are radiohead, cat power, nirvana, pearl jam, Be good tanyas, coldplay, Tools, a perfect circle, Led Zeppelin, alice in chains, pixies, soundgarden, pinback., PJ Harvey, Jeff Buckley, STP, The Mars Volta, Local H, Noir Desir, Chevelle... Of course my beloved local or friend's band like Radio Vago (in my heart for ever), Boyskout, LKN, Shande, Triple Creme,... I do also love some Jazz, Classic, Opera (I know! ) Techno and soooo much more.... each style as its own setting and purpose....
Saving Face, But I am Cheerleader, Girl Interupted, American History X, Boys don't cry, Tie me up tie me down, Casablanca, Chocolat, Dazed and confused, Dogtown Z boys, Frida, Fried Green Tomatoes, High Art, Helter Skelter, Girl with a pearl earing, If these walls coud talk, Jesus's son, The laramie Project, The Magdalene sisters, O brother where are thou, Monsoon wedding, Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil, The Red Violon, A River Runs Through It, Wildflowers, Lost Highway, Baraka, Motorcycle Diaries, ANYTHING Almodovar and so many more
Growing up. my friends laughed at me because I didn't know what famous people looked like because I didn't have a tv. Someone gave me my first television at 19. The first few months I believed everything and it kepts giving me headaches so I got rid of it. Now I have a much nicer one, I use it mostly for movies but I will watch tv sometime almost never alone... this is how I see it: As long as I don't have to deal with the damn machine (that's the TV), the remote, how to pick something to watch and what to pick I may watch TV with you... that's if I like you, you are nice to me and the settings are cozy, comfortable, homy, chill... You take care of the tv programming, I will do the food.... then I can have a good time with it! I love those "sensible comentaries" to counter balance the stupidities of what's on teevee..... I do really think that Six feet under is brilliant ... and of course enjoy watching the L word... you know... hot girls, stupid stories... and lots of girls coming to your house to watch it with you... that's even better!!!! As you can tell, I don't watch mutch TV, and don't really want to learn anything about it...
Books books books.... I used to have this addiction where I couldn't stop bying books... I love walking in used book stores or independant fun bookstores. I used to travel a lot and always tried to find a cool bookstore in the city I would pass through. If you ever go to Seatlte you should go to Elliot Bay bookstore. I am not allowed to buy a new one till I finish at least half of all the one I haven't read.... I used to read all the time, I have been through a bit of a drout... but I am starting again.... Bastard out of Carolina, Sputnik sweatheart, Christian Bobin, Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance, The Interpreter, Harry Potter, Valencia, Master and Margherita, Alexander McCall Smith, Philip Pullman, La Table des Enfants. I used to love some of the french classics.... learned english with children's english books.... that's all I can think of for now...
HEROES ??? nothing less than my FRIENDS!
