Court TV's Murder by the Book

I am a SUCKER for murder and detective novels! I just can't get enough of them- I know it's weird, but whatever, sue me. Anyway- some of my favs are James Ellroy, Faye Kellerman, Jonathan Kellerman, Michael Connelly and Lisa Scottoline. There are lots more too- but these guys are like- some of the best contemporary authors out there. Anyway- if you've read their books, you know how they have these jaw-dropping twists and turns and stuff? Well, it just makes me wonder- how did they come up with it all?
Well, check this out- Court TV has asked THEM that question, and now they're all going to host an episode of this TV show to let us know which REAL LIFE crimes inspired them to write! How cool is that? Actually, as cool as it is, it's also kinda scary, but I'm still pretty fired up to see it. I mean, wouldn't you think that if these authors can come up with fiction this creepy and great, wouldn't their memories, speculations and personal connections to these true-life mysteries also be pretty interesting? Apparently, the show combines documentary footage, first person accounts and a LOT of insights by the authors themselves into these true crime cases. Oh, and check it out: a lot of these cases haven't even been solved! They say that truth is stranger than fiction- I can't wait to find out!
