I am Vegan! I've been vegetarian since I was 10 and it is probably one of the most significant moral and political statements I can make. It's not just about giving up McDonalds or the odd beefburger. Its not just about having a good ol' moan when I see people eat meat. It's not an excuse or an attempt to be 'trendy'. I'm not vegan so I can look down on people, or take the moral highground. I abhor the abuse of animals from the very depth of my soul. It truly hurts me to know of their suffering and the ignorance and apathy of people who eat meat. As Chrissie Hynde once shouted during a gig in Warwick: "you fuckers have turned the UK in to a bloody slaughterhouse!" Its your karma people.
