JOTE OSAHN

Jote studied violin at the Royal Northern College of Music and in Switzerland with folk/classical violinist Volker Biesenbender. She has gained extensive experience recording and playing live, as well as performing on numerous tv and radio shows in the UK and worldwide.She has worked with a diverse range of artists such as Ryuchi Sakamoto, Joan Armatrading (world tour) Gloria Gaynor, Massive Attack, The Zutons, Gorillaz, (Demon Days album) Athlete and Elbow (touring, recording and backing vocals). She has also recorded and toured with The Cinematic Orchestra (Man With The Movie Camera and Ma Fleur). Most recently she has been writing and recording string arrangements for The Maccabees and Ingrid Olava (EMI Norway) and Atomic Hooligan. Currently touring with Elbow.Jote divides her time between composing, recording sessions and string arranging. She has written and arranged strings for The Maccabees, The Zutons, Ian Broudie, Siobhan Donaghy, I Am Kloot, OTT, Beverly Knight ,Damage and Del Amitri.
