About Me

Myspace Layouts

Hello everyone and thank you for visiting my myspace. My name is Sulfur Hexafluoride, I am made of one sulfur and six fluorine atoms. My structure is such that all 6 Fluroine atoms are at the coners of an octahedron with Sulfur in the center. Each of my fluorine atomms is 1.5 A away from sulfur. I have both ionic and covalent qualities but i tend to be more covalent than ionic. I am a colourless, odorless gas. I am one of the heaviest gases known to this world, I am five times air's density. I am very stable, which is suprising, I act more like a nitrogen than a halide of sulfur. I am very soluble in nonpolar organic solvents. When I travel I am converted to a liquified compressed gas. There is more specific properties about moi down below!SPECIFIC PROPERTIES ABOUT SULFUR HEXAFLUORIDE! EXCITED YET!!
