Music, seeing friends, history, rambling, thinking of things to ramble about, working (occasionally, when threatened with something sharp.) Video games are also a rather sizable interest of mine. Currently wii-ing it up on a regular basis, but Nintendo creations of a more vintage nature are also enjoyed muchly. Also Resident Evil, I do love that series. Recently I've been playing the latest Zelda, 'Phantom Hourglass,' which is great. Although I'm having varied degrees of success with the wi-fi mode. Some swines, It seems, appear to have BIONIC THUMBS. Also, the amount of arse that this game kicks is, frankly, bordering on the obscene:
Julius Caesar. What? HE'S DEAD? Why did no one tell me? When did this happen? ...2050 years ago, you say? I see. I knew that... Don't get clever with me! (Bastard.) I'd very much like to meet the cast and crew of Doctor Who. Preferably all of them together. If not though, I'd gladly settle for the man himself, his companion (predecessor of t'current) or a combination thereof. Other than that, anyone's welcome to add me, I'd like to meet all my fellow Myspacers. I'm reliably informed that that is, in fact, a legitimate word.
To be frank, (who is this Frank? How did he get involved?) I have a hugely varied/potentially random taste here. You asked for it...Mainly, I'd have to favour Air Traffic, Amy Macdonald, Athlete, The Automatic, The Beatles, Billy Talent, Bloc Party, The Bravery, Calvin Harris, The Clash, Coldplay, The Cure, Editors, Elvis Presley, The Enemy, Eric Clapton, Fall Out Boy, The Feeling, Franz Ferdinand, The Fray, The Futureheads, Ghosts, Good Charlotte, Green Day, Hard-Fi, Jack Penate, Justin Timberlake, Kaiser Chiefs, Kasabian, Kate Nash, Keane, The Killers, Klaxons, Lily Allen, Maroon 5, Maxïmo Park, Michael Jackson, Mika, My Chemical Romance, Nelly Furtado, Nirvana, Oasis, Orson, The Pogues, Queen, The Raconteurs, Razorlight, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Robbie Williams, The Rumble Strips, R.E.M, Scissor Sisters, Sister Hazel, Snow Patrol, Stereophonics, Take That, Trapt, U2, Weird Al Yankovic, The White Stripes, The Zutons...I've probably forgotten rather a lot here, (as is my wont, sadly) but that's t'main 'uns. Also needing a mention are the almighty music creating skills of Murray Gold and Nobuo Uematsu, as we see here:'This Is Gallifrey: Our Childhood, Our Home''The Oath''You Are Not Alone!''One-Winged Angel''Waltz For The Moon''The Doctor Forever'Magnificent pieces there. One of numerous reasons why Doctor Who is the greatest televisual experience available, and also why Final Fantasy recieves a similar accolade in the video game category. By category, you understand that this merely means 'my opinion.' Though I'm still right.
There are really two types of film that I like. Comedy, such as Bruce Almighty, Pirates Of The Caribbean etc. Or the 'epic' (ie bores the arse off of most other people but I like 'em) history ones, eg Gladiator.
Doctor Who would be my favourite unsurprisingly. Beyond this rather obsessive area I would say Bottom, The Simpsons, Black Books, Father Ted, general Channel 4 comedies. To elaborate, The Friday Night Project, Phoenix Nights, The IT Crowd and so forth. My point, I believe, has been made. Big Brother's Big Mouth is also hilarious. I'm not really that bothered by Big Brother itself, but the genius of Russell Brand makes it good. Frasier would have to be another of my favourites: "I've made a fist, and I'm thinking of using it!" "THE THUMB GOES ON THE OUTSIDE, NILES!"
Loads of different random things. I love reading. It makes me feel intelligent. You could say i'm an intellectual because I read a lot. You COULD say that. In fact, please do. As I am halfway through t'second year of an English Literature degree, reading takes up a fairly enormous amount of my time. At the moment I am reading Alan Silitoe's rather good 'Saturday Night And Sunday Morning,' though I have to say that the protaganist seems a bit of a bastard. Other literary works I am progressing with include 'My Booky Wook' by the incomparable and marvellous Russell Brand and t'Doctor Who novel 'Sick Building.'
My heroes list would be huge. I am inspired by and admire numerous people for a variety of reasons. Speaking historically, I would go for: Julius Caesar, 'The Black Prince' whose actual name escapes me, Harold Godwinson (Harold II, Damn you William. 'Conqueror' my left testicle...) Alexander III of Macedon ('The Great',) Boadicea, Wilfred Owen, James I, Mark Anthony, Oscar Wilde and others that I will no doubt add as they come to me. On the more random side of things, I would say: Russell Brand, Bill Bailey, Rik Mayall, Ade Edmonson, Peter Kay and Dylan Moran. I have a great admiration for comedians, I'm hoping to become one at some point. Also the almighty Brandon Flowers, equal parts brilliant and eccentric. Not forgetting Cloud Strife, Squall Leonheart and Zidane Tribal. Nor forgetting more or less the entire cast and crew of a certain Science Fiction series you may be familiar with, Primarily David Tennant.
