Martin Holmes

I'm a Music Producer, Sound engineer (Live & Studio), Band Manager, Freelance music tutor, Music Lecturer and Session Guitarist.
I have gained over ten years recording experience working in Lipa, Autumn Road, Forge studios, Talk Sport Radio, West Cheshire College studio and my own home studio before becoming head of music production at DB's studio in liverpool where I developed my skills as a recording engineer/producer.
I have been involved with many bands, many of them extremely unsuccessful however achieved some success with "The Meddler". During my time with the band I have had the opportunity to play at some of the best venues locally and around the country. Signed to Matchbox records who released the single Who's Your Daddio? which went straight to number 1 on an internet chart and recieved radio play worldwide which led to another number 1 in Serbia.. Glasswerk also released the track Shoo Shoo Baby onto their best off album 2005.
I am a partner with a company called SoundAssist. We operate a mobile studio facility. Whose aim is to offer studio quality recordings to act/artist in their own home. Clients include The Brindley Theatre (Runcorn) The Loose Kites and Force Fed Fury. We have just finished recording NME's voted best unsigned solo act Chris Done. visit www.myspace.com/soundassist
I am also a partner and main sound engineer for promotion company Northern shout (Previously fifteen minutes of fame). The company offers promotion and gigging opportunities for local bands and artists. We are currently working on a luanch party with retailers GAP.
I also work as a freelance sound engineer and music teacher who has designed and ran many musical programmes for both adults and young musicians with local companies such as Ellesmere Port council, Malpas council, Chester council and Warrington council. As a session musician i have performed at The Pyramid (Parr street, Warrington). The Lowry Theatre, Dance House and the Royal Northern College of Music theatre in Manchester for Laine Management with the cast from Hollyoaks and Shameless...yeah..
I have recently been head of music at Delemere school however I now lectures full time at West Cheshire college in both music practice and music technology.
I have recently been working as an assistant sound engineer at Pacific Road in Birkenhead for the International Guitar festival. I have had the pleasure to work with such artists as Tommy Emmanuel, Martin Taylor, Steve Gibbons, Chris Spedding, Sarah Harmer, Stuart Ryan and the Hamsters..
I have provided PA's for Frog & Nightingale, Alexanders, Dramania, The REX.
