I'd like to meet:

Anybody and everybody who enjoys a good chat and a couple of drinks.Anyone that can tell me about pirates or history (circa 1600 - 1800). A accademic would be great - just to don't expect too much from me!!!Ohh yeah and someone who can fix Macs.... just for any possible emergencies.

Music:

Classics such as Roxy Music, David bowie, Talking Heads, Kate Bush, Half Man Half Biscuit, Beck, Zappa, Eno, David Thomas/Pere Ubu, stones (Rolling & Roses, Sid Barrett. And other stuff like Clap your Hands and Say Yeah, The Walkman, Clor, Simple Kid, Duke Spirit, The Beta Band, Arcade Fire, P J Harvey, Kings of Leon, Scott 4, The Rapture, The Research, The Dudley Coporation, The flaming Lips, Utah Phillips collaboration with Ani DiFranco, The Verve, Yo La Tengo, The Devestations, Accoustic Ladyland etc. etc. etc.......

Movies:

What with a slight dislike of the cinema as a place (I would no longer say phobia) FilmFour has been an absolute godsend to me! Loads of stuff such as Momento, LA confidential, The Station Agent, Bad Education, Elephant Man, Eraserhead, The Proposition, The Big Lebowski. Also a large number of films that I was in no fit state to remember the names of!

Television:

Willo the Wisp and documentaries. Bascically either stuff that is surreal and whimsical or to the other extreme of real (by real i mean documentories and not reality TV). Although I pretend to be quite hard, anything with ill animals in it makes me cry.

Books:

T C Boyle, The Independent, Paul Theroux, Evelyn Waugh, lots of non fiction, big art books, Stephen Fry, George Orwell etc

Heroes:

Lets make it who i would like to meet....Oscar Wilde, David Bowie, Joseph Beuys, John Wilmot 2nd Earl of Rochester, Lady Kiilligrew, Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec, Bryan Ferry circa 1972, alright any glam art rock star, Millicent Fawcett, Bouncer the dog... and of course all those noble people as well.
