About Me

One of those odd artist types I suppose. Lately I have been writing a lot but I am always painting and drawing as well. www.sanchezartwerk.com for more on that. Enjoy traveling wine cooking and writing to other odd folks. I tracked it the other day and realized though raised in Florida I have lived in eight states, six cities or towns in Florida, five different in Colorado and now three different countries. I say all this not to boast but imply that it has been what has most screwed me up or perhaps merely defined me.I now call Biel my home it is Biel the home of Rolex and my fourth place of residence in Switzerland (I haven't changed really)After a few years in Switzerland I find myself back in Colorado. Painting Whimsical Weightless World. It imagines a Jules Vern future instead of the present we ended up with but as well it suggests our human tendency to build things we can't ever hope to control. There is a beauty in this that we are always so optimistic and try new things generation after generation. However we often end up like a cat up a technological tree with no way to get back down again.

So perhaps you have noticed that this is an artsy page music is art too so there quite a few makers of music. I hope all of us artsy types can get to know each other network and share ideas. It doesn't mean you aren't welcome as a non artist but know that to gather creative people is my goal here. I am also hoping to meet long lost friends, other writers, former or current digbums, travelers, and any other general eccentrics that happen my way. The above painting entitled Junkyard of Lost Souls was inspired by the ruined mining sites of Victor and Cripple Creek Colorado where I use to go exploring. The old mine workings seemed like broken down old men on the sides of mountains or across the hillsides. There were some 30k mines in Colorado and almost all are abandoned and forgotten like the people that worked them. Interests art music traveling writing and heated debates. Well at least intelligent conversation
