About Me

TreatLightly is a small, award winning creative force currently operating out of Marrickville, Sydney, swimming between the slippery fields of film and video production, event A/V design and tech, and live visual performance.
Working closely with Figureight Sustainable Events (a not-for-profit company also based in Marrickville) and having roots buried deep within a very diverse community, TreatLightly has access to a massive inventory of artists, resources, facilities and finger-on-the-pulse insider knowledge.
TreatLightly has worked with clients including Stand For Love, The Brook Theatre, Youth Work Ireland, and the Sydney Energy Co-op. Past live collaborations have been with artists as diverse as Justin Hunter, Kingtide, Hermitude, Rumpunch and breaks hero Klaus Heavyweight Hill, at festivals and venues including Peats Ridge Festival, Big Day Out, Splendour in the Grass, Regrowth, the Gaelic Club and various venues throughout Ireland and the UK.
Installations have been witnessed at the Winter Magic Festival, Push Gallery Redfern, and of course the nauseating "Projection Room of Death" at Rebomb festival 2007.
Since the 2006 win at the Newcastle Shootout Film Festival, TreatLightly has developed an real desire to bring about change within the Australian film industry through ninja innovation and creativity, and to undermine the power of ego and pretention that seems to keep the heads of many continually buried up the arseholes of few. Let's keep the wankers out of it, please.
